Mama T's "Food as Medicine" Panama Retreat
Greetings and Blessings!
I wanted you all to know about an upcoming program I am so excited about hosting in the vibrant country of Panama, Central America.
The two sequential 4-Night/5Day Retreats will feature a celebration of food, health, culture, nature, medicine and one love. My life's goal is to share with the world a higher side of livity. Everyone has the right to access and know a good life. I will lead with daily workshops and fill the days with top local experts in traditional indigenous medicine and well being. Please join me in one or two of my 4-Night/5 Day sequential retreats.
Local Neighbors, friends that swingby to greet you in the morning at the Tree House, Cerro Azul.
Sequence 1 is in the lush blue mountains of Panama, Central America, in the retreat known as "The Tree House", in Cerro Azul, Chagres National Park.
Sequence 2 will be hosted on our private island retreat and Native Like Water Rainforest project on the Island of Cebaco on the Pacific Ocean.
Both locations, nature does much of the work and I help usher the experience along with fine food and local experts. The Native Like Water team has been doing cultural exchanges for 10 years in Panama, and I am so glad I will now have the opportunity to host you for days of inspiration and love.
I hope to inspire you to join me on one or both of the retreats. We have kept the cost down to a minimum, and proceeds go to Native Like Water programming which continues to do great work with youth and the human family. We are all one.
I cant wait to spend a magical time with you in Panama!

WATCH VIDEO: See Mama T's Panama Retreat location inside the Chagres National Park as featured on the Video Series Travel Base Camp. We will host you in a quaint bed and breakfast called the "Tree House" in Cerro Azul (Blue Mountains), Alive with Panama's rich fauna, flora and waterfalls!
As the birds from the southern and northern hemisphere continue to do, we too travel to exchange and gather knowledge, nutrients at the center of "The Americas." It is said "birds of a feather flock together". Pono, ital and vital.
Sequence 1: Mama T Food as Medicine Retreat at Cerro Azul (Blue Mountains) of the Chagres National Forest. We take time to rest our wings as do the world's largest bird population does.
After picking you up at the airport we will drive 40 minutes into the cool climate of Cerro Azul. We are given time to rest and unwind, before embarking upon hikes in the mountains where rainforests, waterfalls, monkeys, sloths, and toucans abound.
The world’s largest list of birds is documented in Panama, and it continues to grow. The Chagres National Park is the largest reserve forest in Panama and the natural water shed that fills the Panama Canal. Cerro Azul "cloud forest" is inspiring, amazing and the only vantage point you can see the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean at the same time.
See the video program (right) done on the Cerro Azul retreat hosting site, featuring Native Like Water Director, Marc Chavez and Guest Chef Ras Joe.
Sequence 2: Cebaco Island and Coiba National Park, Pacific Ocean
Island of Cebaco and Montijo Bay is life as we know it, or should know it and was the home to pre-colombian indigenous king and anti-colonial warrior. Today, this area is of global importance and recognized for its infinite biodiversity. On both the list of the United Nations World Heritage and Ramsy World Report on protected areas, Montijo Bay and the islands give all and ask only for kindness in return. We are blessed to co-exist within this sacred life force and remain in awe, humility at nature’s perfect state.

Watch Video: Eagle's eye view of breathtaking Cebaco Island, filled with rainforest, untouched beaches and mountains in Panamá's Pacific. Boasting the largest bio-diversity of the eastern pacific.
Dolphins, sea turtles, and whales are often seen and birds circling the grounds under light blue skies. Water instills a deeper sense and meditation. Like everything, fine food is served, pure and fresh. The options of snorkeling, horseback riding, surfing, kayaking, fishing, island hoping, and exploration of the greatest and newest biological find in the world- Coiba National Park - and more are at your leisure. One is immersed in the rhythm of nature: one vibe.

Febuary 15: Guna Yala, aka Archipelago of San Blas, Caribbean Sea
A model of Sovereignty and Autonomy, Guna Yala People hold it down on the colors of the Caribbean, which are highlighted in the traditional textiles of las molas. This is the safe zone of the Caribbean; Panama’s coast is hurricane free. San Blas / Guna Yala is a sacred paradise, as visitors must receive permission to enter this territory. We have built a good relationship with the Native people of this community, and they open their houses, tribal councils and traditional ways to us. We share with them the calm, comforting blue waters of the Caribbean Sea—Earth’s nourishing swimming pool—and trade stories about our ancestral roots. Cultural Presentation and discourse are shared here at this UNESCO “World Heritage” Site. $150 Per Person (Food and Drink Included)
